Another thing Bamberg is famous for is its status as Germany’s beer capital. While this is an unofficial status, Bamberg is known for brewing the best beers in the whole country.

While in Bamberg, you can visit any of the old yet still operational 11 breweries. However, we recommend you start with Klosterbau. It is one of Bamberg’s oldest breweries and has an Instagram-worthy interior.

You will for sure have a great time here. However, suppose you are short on time and can’t visit every brewery, head to Torcheschter, as it offers the best beer in town.
